Pole, songwriting, lyra, ukulele, tumbling, tattoos, drum circles, and a music workshop…what more could Spring Break need?
Body of Bloomington’s CircusKids (lead by certified Personal Trainer, Mobility Coach, and Pole Instructor Ky) is partnering with Harmonium Music Therapy (lead by Julie Engelsdorfer, LPMT, MT-BC) to bring you a neurodivergent-friendly program designed to combine the circus arts with music therapy and nervous-system regulation exercises. Kiddos will be able to experience a variety of aerial apparatuses and circus-based movements alongside a creativity-lead immersive music experience including songwriting, drum circles, ukulele, designing playlists and album art (a huge hit with artistic kiddos!), and testing different musical instruments. The exercises chosen for the music program will have a focus on giving kids the groundwork for nervous system regulation and will focus on a variety of breathing and grounding exercises designed to empower kids to feel connected to their own nervous systems.
