Meet Julie

I’m Julie Engelsdorfer, LPMT, MT-BC. I’m a Licensed, Board-Certified Music Therapist and the sole provider of Harmonium Music Therapy. I earned my degree in Music Therapy in 2023 and opened my private practice in Bloomington-Normal, IL in 2024.

I use evidence-based music therapy techniques to support clients in reaching their cognitive, communicative, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual goals. I am neurodiversity affirming and use a strengths-based & trauma informed approach to meet clients where they’re at. While my practice serves clients across the lifespan, I primarily work with kids, teens, and adults with emotional-behavioral disorders or a diagnosis of depression, anxiety, PTSD, or ADHD/ASD.

Free Consultation or In-service

Individual and Group Music Therapy

Monthly Rates

Monthly rates for Music Lessons, Adapted Lessons, or Music Therapy ensure your spot is held on the Music Therapist’s caseload.

  • Individual Monthly Rates:

    • $55/month - 30 minutes 1x/month

    • $100/month - 30 minutes/biweekly

    • $185/month - 30 minutes/weekly

    • $75/month - 45 minutes/1x month

    • $150/month - 45 minutes/biweekly

    • $280/month - 45 minutes/weekly

    • $100/month - 60 minutes/1x month

    • $200/month - 60 minutes/biweekly

    • $380/month - 60 minutes /weekly

    Group Rates

    Monthly & Biweekly Rates:

    • $60/30 minutes

    • $90/45 minutes

    • $120/60 minutes

    Weekly rates:

    • $46.87/30 minutes

    • $70.30/45 minutes

    • $93.75/60 minutes

    Cancellation & No Show Policy:

    Please notify your therapist that you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your session. Your therapist needs adequate notice so they can attempt to fill the empty time slot. If you no show or notify the therapist of cancellation after the 24 hour grace period has ended, your session may not be refunded.

    We understand that illness and circumstances beyond your control will happen. Your therapist will work with you to reschedule or refund your session in the case of a true emergency.

  • Monthly rates hold your spot on your instructors schedule, and include 5 weeks off for instructor holidays, and 5 weeks for student absences or vacations. If you never have to miss, you will receive 5 free lessons throughout the year. Because the monthly rate is discounted to accommodate student absences, makeups are only offered when the instructor is sick/absent.

    Beginner Rates:

    • 30 minutes: $87/month ($25.00/per lesson)

    • 45 minutes: $130/month ($37.00/per lesson)

    Adapted Lesson Rate:

    • 30 minutes: $100/month ($28.00/per lesson)

    What’s included:

    • Students will have the opportunity to perform in a Spring and Fall recital (this is never required!).

    • Sheet music and instructional books are provided.

    • Select instruments are available for checkout at no additional charge.

    • 3 Group Makeup classes (offered every Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter)

    Lessons offered:

    • Guitar

    • Piano

    • Ukulele

    • Violin

    • Voice
