Meet Julie
Julie Engelsdorfer, LPMT, MT-BC, holds a bachelor's in Music Therapy from Illinois State University. She completed a six-month internship at the Danville VA Medical Center in November 2023, gaining experience with veterans in psychosocial residential rehabilitation and memory care. After completing her program, she earned her board-certification and became a Licensed Professional Music Therapist in the state of Illinois. In order to be in compliance with state requirements, music therapy practitioners must complete their degree, a six month clinical internship, and pass a board examination.
Julie has experience providing music therapy services to seniors, adolescents, children, veterans, and adults and children with intellectual and developmental delays. Julie values the meaningful connections formed through her work and is dedicated to providing the best therapeutic experience.

Beginner & Adapted Lessons
“As a Music Therapist I strive to connect with all of my students. I want them to foster a love for music and feel confident in their abilities. Adapted lessons are a great option for kiddos that may have difficulty focusing for long periods of time! I draw on evidence-based techniques to keep kids engaged in playing their instrument.”
